Cynics out there told us it couldn’t be done: convince staff members to use their precious breaks to read internal communications and company messages. But we achieved that for The Perfume Shop – and then some.


How did we do it? By creating a magazine packed with content that mirrors the fun-loving world of the TPS employee. The Nose, available to staff in both digital and print formats, is designed and written in the style of a leading women’s weekly. Thanks to our compelling editorial mix of smart, engaging content and inspiring creative and photography, the magazine is now the main internal comms vehicle for The Perfume Shop and a much-loved source of information for readers. A winning combination of short, reader-generated photo stories, and lengthier, more-in-depth reads has attracted repeat visits and reader engagement with staff members scrambling to appear in the pages of The Nose.


It’s not only the client and readers who hold the mag in such high esteem – since launching The Nose more than 10 years ago, it’s won big at the Institute of Internal Communications, The International Content Marketing Awards and the MarComm Awards. And the future looks bright, too, as we are now embarking on an exciting new venture – turning the The Nose into an employee app.
